ChatGPT Ads Rolls Out Bulk Product Creation and Southeast Asia Expansion
OpenAI adds bulk product feed creation, review status and API conversion reporting to ChatGPT Ads, and expands to seven Southeast Asian and Taiwan markets.

- ChatGPT Ads now supports bulk creation of product feed campaigns and ad groups from a spreadsheet in Ads Manager.
- The Insights API can report attributed conversions beyond the campaign's selected goal without changing optimization settings.
- ChatGPT Ads expanded to Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan, bringing availability to roughly 65 markets.
OpenAI has expanded ChatGPT Ads with bulk product creation, product review status tracking, broader API conversion reporting and separate account, brand and legal name management, according to an email the company sent to advertisers this week. The same announcement confirmed ChatGPT Ads are now live in seven new markets across Southeast Asia and Taiwan.
Bulk creation for product feed campaigns
Advertisers can now create multiple product feed campaigns and ad groups from a single spreadsheet in Ads Manager, with ad templates generated automatically. OpenAI's instructions: go to Campaigns → Bulk uploads, choose Bulk sheet, and download the Product feed template. This brings ChatGPT Ads closer to feature parity with the bulk operations Google Ads and Microsoft Ads have offered feed-based advertisers for years — a signal OpenAI wants retail-heavy accounts to migrate campaign structures at scale rather than rebuild them one ad group at a time.
Product review status
For accounts running product feed campaigns, a new review status column in the Products tab shows where each product sits in the review pipeline and why products have been rejected. Feed-based advertisers will recognize this as the equivalent of Google Merchant Center's item-level diagnostics. It matters operationally: feed disapprovals are one of the most common causes of silent traffic loss in shopping-style campaigns, and until now ChatGPT Ads gave advertisers limited visibility into why products failed review.
Report conversions beyond your campaign goal through the API
The public Insights API can now retrieve attributed conversion events beyond the campaign's selected goal. OpenAI's example: an advertiser can report on attributed purchases while optimizing for a different event — without changing the campaign's conversion goal or optimization settings. For performance marketers, this closes a measurement gap. It allows incrementality-style analysis and secondary-metric tracking inside OpenAI's ecosystem instead of forcing attribution workarounds through external analytics.
Separate account, brand, and legal names
Settings → General now supports three distinct name fields: an internal account name, the public brand name shown with ads, and the registered legal name used for billing and verification. Each carries different consequences, and advertisers should note the asymmetry:
- Account name changes don't trigger review.
- Brand name changes pause ad serving until approved.
- Legal name changes restart business review and may pause serving.
That third point deserves attention from agency-managed accounts. A casual edit to a legal name field can restart the full business verification process and take campaigns dark while review runs.
Southeast Asia and Taiwan expansion
ChatGPT Ads are now available in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan. The expansion adds major markets to a footprint that, per the country list OpenAI published, now spans roughly 65 markets including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, India, Brazil, Australia, Canada and much of the Middle East and North Africa — Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates among them.
For brands with regional retail or travel inventory, the seven new Southeast Asian markets represent first-mover inventory in an environment where auction density — and likely CPCs — remains lower than in mature Google and Meta auctions.
All five features are confirmed, announced features from OpenAI's advertiser email, not tool-signal speculation or observed rollouts. Availability of specific features by market was not stated beyond the market list itself.
What to monitor next: whether OpenAI follows this batch with automated feed rules or policy-level diagnostics, and how quickly auction density in the new Southeast Asian markets affects pricing — watch the country availability page and upcoming advertiser emails for further market additions.
